Swiss CI registry

Always good to see the data from the Swiss cochlear implant registry. Patients are rating their successes themselves and there are just little patients having poor or no benefits from the treatments.

I analyzed the open source data available to check and see, whether the overall data generated since 1977 differs, if I just compare the data from the last decade and it appears, that the success in this timeframe from 2010 to 2019 is even better then for the full period of >40 years.

Throughout the last decade, 81% of patients rate their results with Cochlear Implants as excellent and good, 11% as medium, while just 7 % have poor or no benefits. I guess, there are not too many medical treatments out in this world with such outstanding results. German Cochlear Implant Association would love to have such data available here as well.
